Mesa`s Mexican Grill in McKinney

Mesa's Mexican Grill is a jam hiding in strip mall setting. The plain Blue sign announcing Mesas understates what the customer finds by walking in the doors. First off you are greeted as you walk in the door by a host or hostess and by the Manager or Assistant Manager. Seating is well structured and the establishment is clean and inviting. The service is cordial and efficient. Drinks and meals are brought on a timely manner. Staff efficiency is watched by Management who does not hesitate to step in and help when needed. The food is good, real good. It is best to go to Mesa's hungry because the portions tend to be on the large side. The service is always there but not intrusive. Management may stop by and ask how you are doing and they always say, "Thank You" when you leave. Great food, polite, great service and politeness. An establishment you will want to return to again and again.

My family and I love this place! They have tons of good Mexican food options. We love the bean dip. The customer service is amazing! We love this one employee who sings a song about bean dip to us. Everyone looks so happy to be there and they are all so sweet.

Food is good. Service is solid but not spectacular. A great neighborhood spot. The patio is quite nice as well.

I had a waiter scoff at me here when I said my son and I were going to split a meal. I will never return to this restaurant ever again. My son is seven, doesn't eat much and that day I couldn't afford two plates but needed to eat out. The food was good but not worth the drag on my spirit.

Nope, this ain't it bro. I was looking for some good authentic Mexican food and decided to give Mesa a try. The Chicken Chimichaga had very little cheese and tasted like it was covered in pasta sauce. The rest of the food was pretty blah. They should be embarrassed to serve their version of tortilla soup. It looked like a science experiment. The food was not nasty but as a lover of Mexican food I would not refer anyone here with good conscience. There is other game in town; go to On the Border instead.

Staff was VERY friendly and good food. Their shrimp tacos are amazing! Also, try their different margaritas (cucumber, jalapeno, pineapple)

Best crispy taco I have ever had! No soggy greasy meat like most places. All of the food was good, we'll be back.

Overpriced for the quality of the food. Ground beef is super salty and service is mediocre at best. I probably won't be back unless all the other restaurants close

We come in around 4 pm on Sunday. The place looks clean and quiet. The foods are good. Chips are nice, warm and crispy. The service is good.

Excellent food. The bean dip for the chips was out of this world. Ordered the jalapeno fajita's and they were fantastic.

Absolutely the best Mexican food I've ever had.The seasoning on their ground beef is stunning, and I was disappointed I ordered a combo burrito instead of just beef.Their drink selection is above average, their wait staff is friendly, and their food is astounding.I've visited many times, and will many more.

Fantastic service, great food. Best Tex-Mex I've been to in Dallas. I've been to two locations and had the same great consistent experience at both places.Best fajitas I've had in a long time only wish I had more red or red peppers. The bean dip is awesome.

Most overpriced cheap restaurantThis is the worst Mexican food i had in a long time. Way over priced. Quality was low, soggy veggies that are clearly frozen, half cooked meat. I could get same meal for like $8 for which i paid $15. Only good thing was they did not add tip by default. If you have a choice even a McDonald, i would prefer that over this restaurant any day.

Great service and delicious food

Family favorite. Especially like the black bean dip with the chips. We each have our favorite dishes mine being the Chilly Relleno which is lightly breaded and fried then served with ranchero sauce.

Patio service was great during Friday happy hour. Beef fajita nachos also great. Recommend the Rocks Margarita and if you have more than 2 you may want a DD or wait a bit before driving home.

Used online to order and then pick up. Go to pick up and customers are standing around in restaurant. The worse was there were lots of to go orders all over bar and random people looking at them. Asked about my order and no one could find it but have a very expensive charge on credit card. Told them to cancel my order. CDC would not approve everyone standing on top of each other and don’t approve of letting every customer coming In for pickup stand over bags of to go orders. I want to support business but this was just out of control and not responsible

Perfect Sunday afternoon. The patio is relaxing, not near a major highway like other restaurants so very calm and enjoyable. My salad looked like the picture and tasted as good! Tasty frozen margarita, chips and salsa unlimited. Husbands dinner was also very flavorful - Mexico city. He got full, perfect! We'll be back.

Mexican is my favorite food and Mesa’s just might be my favorite Mexican restaurant. Their bean dip they serve you alongside the hot sauce is amazing. Nothing I haven’t enjoyed from the menu so far. You should definitely try this place.

We have known the owner for over a decade before he opened his first restaurant. He brings his excellent customer service and tasty Tex Mex to Mesas! Friendly staff and a great location!

Mesa's is a run-of-the-mill Mexican restaurant. I regularly order the chicken enchiladas with yummy queso topping — the dish is neither bad nor exceptionally good. The speed of the service is often inconsistent. I like to sit on the patio during the summer time.

it was OK, but music was so loud through their speakers we had trouble hearing our conversation. No need to go back to this place.

Beef burritos weren't drenched in cheese, which was nice. The queso comes in a bowl so you can control how cheesy you want it. Not bad Mexican food and moderately priced. My tea glass never stayed empty. Will visit again!

By far the best place ever!!!

Good food, excellent black bean dip, so-so service. Went on Friday early evening, 530ish, was seated quickly. Chips, salsa & black bean dip arrived quickly. Took over 10 min for the drinks, tea & soda, to arrive. Food arrived 25min after ordering. During this time, the place filled with at least 20 people waiting.

New place in Allen. Gloria's and Uncle Julio's must be worried because the prices are very competitive and staff is very good. The patio seating is a big plus. The Salmon Salad I had was a very good portion with a generously big slice of the fish grilled to perfection. Very kids friendly as well.

Food was not very hot, and taco shells were stale. Quality of food seems to be declining

We have only visited once, but feel 5 stars is in order. It always start with the chips and salsa, right!? Well, expect a special upgrade with a wonderful bean dip that really adds some flavor! The food was great and the service was on point. We will go back for sure.

Did a call in , curbside pick up order during COVID-19. Great customer service! Order was ready in no time. It was my first time eating here so i didn't know what to expect. Ordered the Quesadillas and did not receive pico de gallo with it. However they did provide a lot of quesadilla!! more than i expected. Also did to-go margaritas and they were fantastic!! loved the little bottles of tequila that i was able to add to my drink to adjust the alcohol content. Overall satisfied with service and food! and drinks were a huge plus!
